I have been teaching piano for over 20+ years. Through those years, I have gotten some things right and some wrong. I am constantly questioning the way I teach and growing as an educator. I have several resources available for you to use in your teaching, and I am constantly working on new ones! If you are looking for something specific, don’t hesitate to reach out to me! Below are the resources I currently have available. If you are interested, please contact me!
Five Finger Scale Book

The first thing I do when I get a beginner piano student is to start working with them on their five-finger scales. This allows me to talk about hand position/posture, sitting posture, and scores of other things while allowing them to touch the keys and play the piano in their first lesson. Two resources are included in this set: Set 1 is the Major five-finger scales, and Set 2 is the Minor five-finger scales.
Complete Piano Scale Book

When students begin taking piano lessons, there are often scores of books they need to buy. There are several scale books that I love, but none that have everything exactly how I like them! So, I made my own! In this book, there are one-octave scales followed by a chord progression, two-octave scales, and arpeggios for every major and minor key. Every fingering is clearly marked. I love this resource because it allows me to print each scale as the student learns them. It gives me more flexibility in my teaching.
